What is an Exercise Physiologist?

Exercise Physiologists are 4 year, university trained “Exercise Specialists”, with 500 hours of extensive clinical placement. Exercise Physiologists assess, plan, and deliver individualised exercise programs in order to help people to:

  • Improve Sporting Performances
  • Manage Fatigue and Injury
  • Improve weight
  • Modify their lifestyle to maximise their health and well-being
  • Recover from an injury
  • Manage a chronic health condition

Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation

Once an individual has completed their initial rehabilitation from injury, the next step in their rehab is to ensure they remain on track with a specific and individual program aimed at full functional fitness. This type of programming not only will assist with ongoing improvement from injury, but also ensures they return even stronger, minimising the risk of further injury. Musculoskeletal rehab can be in the form of the following types of programs:

  • Hydrotherapy (water based treatment)
  • Clinic Based
  • Gym Based
  • Home Based
